Do I Need to Hire an Attorney if I Intend to Plead Guilty in Court?

You should always consult with an attorney before going to court, even if you want to plead guilty. An experienced lawyer may be able to have your charges reduced, prevent a conviction on your public record and/or negotiate a lesser sentence. In some cases, your attorney may even be able to have your entire case dismissed.
