Thank you for your quick reply. I would also like to thank Mr. Larry Davis as well. If it were not for his article in the ISBA, "Demystifying DUI Laws", I would still be in prison. I found his article and it started me a quest to research DUI case law while in prison in IDOC. I found the irreconcilable conflict with Public Act 94-114 and 94-116, is in the language showed 5th or subsequent vs. 6th or subsequent DUI's. I studied for 2 years and went back into court pro se and won my post conviction petition. I was granted relief in that case which reduced my Class X to a Class 1 and reduced my sentence by 1 year. Due to this, I am home right now instead of still incarcerated. So give him my thanks!
